Peugeot will enter two racing versions of its new RCZ coupe in this year’s Nurburgring 24 Hours.
Each RCZ will be powered by a 2.0-litre HDi engine, which is identical to the engine found in roadgoing versions, asides from a few parts from Customer Peugeot Sport.

The cars will be entered in the D1T class for diesels with an engine capacity between 1700cc and 2000cc.
This year’s Nurburgring 24 Hours will take place on 15-16 May.

Re: Peugeot launches RCZ racer
My earlier comment referred to the original version of this article, which stated that these cars would be racing in the Le Mans 24 hour race, rather than the Nurburgring race.
Thankfully, the article has now been corrected.
Re: Peugeot launches RCZ racer
I think you will find that this car is actually racing at the Nurburgring 24 hours on May 15-16, NOT the Le Mans 24 Hour race in June.
Peugeot 908 Le Mans prototypes, not the RCZ, will race at Le Mans.
The danger caused by the speed differential between 2 litre production based diesels like this and Le Mans prototypes does not bear thinking about!
