US firm Raser Technologies reiterates its interest

Hummer is continuing to be shutdown, despite a late expression of interest in buying the firm from an American company.

According to The Car Connection website, Raser Technologies, a Utah based engineering firm, has twice made a bid for the firm, before and after the deal with Chinese truck maker Sichuan Tengzhong failed to go through.

Raser Technologies has previously produced an electric conversion Hummer H3 prototype.

However, although this means the company is familiar with the Hummer, there is speculation GM is reticent about handing Hummer over to Raser because of the potential threat to its own extended-range EV program.

Spokesmen for Raser and Hummer declined to comment.

Please save it someone. I have a renewed appreciation for the old bus after watching The Hurt Locker last night. And can I have mine with the gun turret please for clearing Nissan Micra's out of the way.

Just put the brand out of it's misery. They would not let a horse at the National suffer like this!

Uh, guys? I read this yesterday in the States. How about giving credit to the exclusive original story, rather than making readers think you discovered this all by yourself? It's called "ethics".
