Lotus returned to the IndyCar Series yesterday at the season-opening Sao Paolo Indy 300 in Brazil.
The team has entered into a technical and commercial partnership with Cosworth and the Lotus-Cosworth car is being run by the KV Racing Technology team.
Lotus’s car is being raced by F1 exile Takuma Sato, but his race ended at the first corner when he crashed out.
The car is decorated in the iconic yellow and British racing green livery made famous by the Lotus Type 38, which was driven to Indianapolis 500 victory by Jim Clark in 1965.

Re: Lotus returns to IndyCar Series
It is pretty well always incident packed and there is loads of gutsy overtaking!
Re: Lotus returns to IndyCar Series
Sounds familiar. Let's hope Sato-San can do better at St.Pete. The first corner of the IndyCar race had more action than the whole F1 race on Sunday.
