Dany Bahar has been named as the new CEO of Lotus, taking over from Mike Kimberley who retired from the firm in July.
Prior to his appointment, Bahar was senior vice president for commercial and brand at Ferrari. He was responsible for worldwide road car sales and after sales, road car and Formula One marketing activities, licensing, and merchandising.
Bahar has also worked as head of corporate projects business at Red Bull, where he oversaw the firm’s Formula One and Nascar projects.
He said: “Lotus has a worldwide reputation for innovative engineering and superb sportscars that lead the world in efficiency, design and dynamics. With the recent launch of the award-winning Evora, there is proof that Lotus is better placed than many to capitalise on the rapidly changing automotive market.”
Lotus group chairman Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh said: “With Dany’s track record in motorsports and Ferrari, we strongly believe that we have found the right CEO to enhance the Lotus image, brand and reputation as a world class sportscar and engineering company. With a strong management team already in place, we are confident this objective can be attained.”
Bahar will officially take over on 1 October.

Re: New Lotus CEO announced
I don't think you're right Pandamonium; Dani Behr was the one who kept swiping 'picker nic' baskets in Jellystone Park.
Hang on... no that was Yogi Behr

Aah Straff I think you mean Dani Behr, must say he does look a bit like her but with a slight 5 o'clock shadow! Who says drug taking isn't rife in F1!!
