Peugeot has added two new diesel engines to its 407 Coupe range.
The new Euro V compliant 3.0-litre V6 HDi, which is also available in the Jaguar XF and Citroen C6, is the most powerful engine ever to feature in a production Peugeot.
It produces 241bhp, can reach 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds and is mated to a six-speed sequential auto’ ‘box.

Emissions and fuel economy are improved compared to the 2.7-litre HDi it replaces. CO2 emissions are 189g.km, down from 225g/km, and combined fuel economy is 39.2mpg, an improvement of 15 per cent over the 2.7-litre HDi.
The 407 Coupe will be available in the autumn in GT spec, complete with GT-only 19-inch alloy wheels, twin oval exhaust pipes and a rear diffuser.
The 163bhp 2.0-litre HDi, mated to a six speed manual ‘box, is the other new engine added to the range. It is 20 per cent more powerful than the 2.0-litre HDi it replaces, while fuel economy is 52.3mpg and CO2 emissions are 140g/km.
Both new engines will be available in the autumn. Prices are expected to start at around £22,000 for the 2.0-litre HDi and £27,000 for the 3.0-litre HDi in GT spec.
