Infiniti will be entering its petrol-electric Essence hybrid in the hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.
It will be the first time the Essence concept has been seen in motion in public. It was first launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Infiniti Essence was created to celebrate the Japanese luxury car manufacturer’s 20th birthday. It is powered by a twin-turbo V6 petrol engine and a powerful electric motor to give a power output of around 600bhp.
It drives the rear wheels through Infiniti’s seven-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission.
When not taking part in the hillclimb, the Essence will be on display in the festival’s FoS-TECH pavilion.
