Brilliance has unveiled an ambitious electric concept at the Shanghai motor show.
Despite having very little experience in the world of electric vehicles, the Chinese car maker has created the bold-looking Brilliance EV, which has two motors.
The EV is a one-box design with a hint of the Volkswagen Up! concept and seats four.
It is powered by lithium-ion batteries and can run on one or two motors. The first motor, which has 30bhp and 44 lb ft of torque, allows the EV to travel 93 miles at 25mph.
With both motors working together the car has 63bhp and 89lb ft of torque, giving it a top speed of 81mph, although the range is unknown.
With a normal power supply it takes eight hours to recharge the EV, although with a fast charger this is reduced to 30 minutes.
At present the car is just a concept and there are no plans to put it into production.
