Brabus has launched its high performance version of the Mercedes E500 saloon.
The 6.1-litre V8 has been tuned up to produce 462bhp at 6200rpm and 453lb ft of torque at 3100rpm, some way short of the recently announced 518bhp Mercedes E63 AMG. Nevertheless It will get to 62mph in a claimed 4.7sec.

The Brabus’s aerodynamics have been enhanced by adding a new front bumper and LED daytime running lights also feature.
More pronounced wheel arches have been added alongside carbonfibre air outlets, which help to cool the cross-drilled, high-performance brakes.
The new sports exhaust features twin chrome pipes and a choice of Pirelli and Yokohama tyres are offered on lightweight, 20-inch alloy wheels.
Brabus has fitted its own air suspension system, which is also lower than the standard car’s.
Several luxury customised interiors are on offer, which include sports steering wheels and Alcantara leather seats.
The Brabus-tuned Mercedes E500 will go on sale this summer.
