Audi’s 572bhp RS6 gets a new body shape and Paris show debut

This is the new 572bhp Audi RS6 saloon, which will make its debut at the Paris motor show in October before going on sale in Britain just weeks later. Following hot on the heels of the RS6 Avant, the saloon uses the same 5.0-litre twin-turbo V10 engine to offer supercar-rivalling levels of performance.

Audi claims that it will blast from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds and is limited to 155mph - although the limiter can be raised to 174mph as an option. Like the Avant, it uses a six-speed automatic gearbox with Tiptronic over-ride and wears 20-inch alloys. The RS6 saloon will be distinguished from the S6 by some subtle styling tweaks and will also get the latest version of Audi’s MMI in-car entertainment system as per the rest of the facelifted A6 range. Pricing details haven’t been finalised yet, but expect it to cost in the region of £75,000.

Re: Revealed: Audi RS6 saloon

When are Audi going to stop putting goatee beards on the nose of their cars. The styling is getting a little lazy too, just like Volvo's. It's starting to look the same over very long periods. Like many Audi's (VW's) the styling is a little bland for me.

The way German cars are just becoming bigger, heavier and more powerful with each new generation is tedious. I'm also bored with the top level supercars, anything more than a Gallardo or R8 or 911 is pointless IMO

Fully agree with the Apprentice,I got sick and tired long ago of the so called power race which has nothing to do with everyday motoring.

Thing is when you see what the next 5 series and E class have for power nothing will change.

Well not till the rules makers step in.
