Jaguar and Land Rover are recruiting 600 new staff to develop the next generation of products

The ink is barely dry on the sale to Tata, but Jaguar Land Rover is already recruiting 600 new staff to help develop the next generation of products. The Jaguar Land Rover engineering team will be expanded at the same time that JLR invests £700 million into the development and integration of green technology into the existing range. In addition to searching for engineers, the company is looking for staff to work in purchasing, finance and human resources - and will be introducing a new graduate programme that will take on 80 graduates this September. The main reason for the expansion is because of the need to move the 'back office' operations that were conducted in-house at Ford. JLR has moved from being a part of the world's third-largest automotive group to becoming one of the smallest-volume mainstream manufacturers in the world. The scale of the recruitment drive proves that JLR's new owner is taking the need to build on the success of the recently-launched XF and Land Rover's booming international sales seriously.More information can be found at www.jaguarlandrovercareers.com
