Land Rover has revealed its updated 2009-spec Discovery 3.It’s a low-key refresh; the most significant revisions are mild tweaks to the bumpers and wheel arches, which have been restyled and will be body-coloured as standard. Clear side repeaters have replaced the current Discovery’s orange versions, and the side vent and door handles are now both ‘tungsten’-coloured. A new 19-inch, seven-spoke alloy wheel design will also be available.Interior alterations are limited to an upgraded Bluetooth system and new ‘almond’ trim colour. However, not all the current Discovery 3 models will make it to the 2009-spec launch. Due to very low demand Land Rover is dropping its current entry-level Discovery, the five-seat TDV6; the seven-seat GS will take its place as the base model. The 2009-spec Discovery will see a price increase of just £30 over the current model when it goes on sale in August this year.
