Home James, and don't spare the horses. But mind you don't upset the pile of 4x2 in the back.
This is the Transit XXL, and while we'd like to imagine it would help the jobbing builder carry all their supplies, it's only really designed for carrying people. It's probably just the thing for a night out in Romford.
The XXL is a one-off special built to celebrate the Transit's status as International Van of the Year 2007. It's made from two standard short-wheelbase Transits stuck together, in one of the world's neatest cut-and-shut jobs.
Despite the stretch, the 7.4m-long XXL has room for only seven passengers (and their luggage). We assume the legroom is unsurpassed. Power comes from a standard 2.2-litre diesel engine.
Unfortunately, the Transit XXL will remain rarer than a Rolls-Royce Phantom LWB – Ford's only building one of them.
