Morgan is seeking 50 orders for its new Aero 8-based coupé, the Aeromax, to put into production. The company showed the first example, built for the president of Baring Brothers bank, as a surprise Geneva entry. The car has an aluminium fastback roof supported by an ash frame. Morgan’s managing director Charles Morgan says the Aeromax’s price is yet to be fixed, but should be ‘about £70,000’. The coupé design is the work of Matthew Humphries, a 21-year-old student on Coventry University’s transport design course. The Aeromax uses Mini headlights for a less cross-eyed look than the Aero 8.
