The most extreme road-going CLK hits Mercedes-Benz showrooms in the autumn. Just 100 CLK DTM AMGs – scooped by Autocar on 20 April and unveiled today – will be sold.
Built to celebrate Bernd Schneider’s German touring car championship (DTM) win last season, the 582bhp CLK hits 62mph from rest in 3.9sec, and is limited to 199mph.
Inside are AMG bucket seats with four-point racing harness and suede AMG oval racing steering wheel. A handful of the cars will make it to the UK, although a right-hand-drive version has been ruled out. Prices will be above €200,000 (£134,000).
