Currently reading: Skoda's Millionaire Fabia

The millionth Skoda Fabia headed down the Mlada Boleslav production line in the Czech Republic last week, and it's heading for Britain. The right-hand drive Fabia vRS was presented to a UK customer at the plant last week.

Introduced at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Fabia is Skoda's best-selling car. The million cars break down into 622,000 hatchbacks, 300,000 estates and 76,000 saloons, as well as 2000 utility versions.

The Octavia, launched in 1996, also recently passed the 1 million mark.
