Talking Sense on Speed made headlines in papers and TV reports, and has won backing from politicians and motorists’ groups. The Department for Transport is now studying our research.
The campaign calls for a halt to the over-reliance on speed cameras — the number of tickets issued has doubled since ’95 — and education rather than penalties.
