Citroen, king of the cashback deals, is offering discounts on the new C2 supermini, before it goes on sale on September 19.
Anyone buying the Saxo replacement will be eligible for up to 500 off the list price,
taking the entry-level price of a 1.1L down to 6995. And going for an LX or SX model means
you can shave 300 off the list price before haggling begins.
Bad news for anyone thinking of buying the 10,995 1.6 VTR warm hatch, though. Along with the Furio special edition, all you'll get is free insurance for a year.
Deals are even juicier on the open-top C3 Pluriel. Even mild bargaining should see 1500 slashed off a 13,595 1.6 Sensodrive, while 1.4 buyers should expect the same sort of deal, paying around £10,500.
By contrast Peugeot dealers look like being stingier to anyone after a 206 CC. A quick ring-round for a 14,700 1.6 S model only netted 650 off, with little sign that things would free up.
Amazingly, you still can't rely on Ford dealers to show any generosity on StreetKa prices either. Most outlets are still citing waiting lists and excess demand, and you'll be lucky to get a set of
free mudflaps.
