207 gets cosmetic changes to celebrate Kris Meeke's IRC victory in 2009

Peugeot has released a special edition 207 to celebrate Kris Meeke’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) championship win last year.

Limited to just 250 units, the Peugeot 207 S16 is based on the three-door 207 Sport 1.6 VTi model and all the changes are cosmetic.

The S16 gets a bodykit featuring front and rear spoilers, side skirts and a pseudo rear diffuser and it rides on white 17-inch Hockenheim alloy wheels. All models are painted in Bianca White and graphics replicating Meeke’s IRC livery are a no cost option.

It also gets a mesh front grille, the tinted rear windows from the 207 GTi and a special interior badge signed by Meeke himself. A black leather interior is a £684.21 option.

Its 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 120bhp and 120lb ft of toque. The S16 can get from 0-62mph in 10.7sec and go on to reach 125mph. Combined fuel economy is 47.1mpg and CO2 emissions are 139g/km.

The Peugeot 207 S16 costs from £14,695 and is available to order now.

Re: Peugeot's 207 S16 rally special

What are Peugeot playing at?, the last time S16 was used it was on the bum of a rather more awesome car than this Halford's effort!,if they want their customers back for the GTI badge cudos, stick something a bit more powerful under the bonnet, an Ibiza Sport would give it a good run for it's money, and would be cheaper too!

Oh dear, still, saves the owners a trip to Halfords for tacky stick on bits, Peugeot's done it for them.

Re: Peugeot's 207 S16 rally special

The 'S16' badge was always reserved for the quickest versions in the past. Shame on you Peugeot for plundering your past with this tarted up 207 which cant even hit 60 in 10 seconds. You couldnt even call this a warm hatch. Is there really a market for even 250 cold hatches?
