Toyota Europe boss rules out a sporty coupé or estate version based on the new hybrid hatchback

Lexus has no plans for more variants of the CT200h, according to insiders speaking at the Paris motor show.

However, engineers are currently considering a higher performance version of the Prius-power petrol-electric hybrid and there’s likely to be a plug-in hybrid version appearing after 2012.

The next all-new Lexus model is tipped to be a smaller SUV, designed to compete with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
