Infiniti has shown off the first pictures of its new EX30d, which has been launched at the Geneva motor show.
Infiniti’s EX and FX models are both now available to order with the firm’s 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, the first time in Infiniti's 20-year history that a diesel engine has featured in the firm's line-up. Deliveries will start in April.

The 235bhp, 406lb ft direct-injection engine will also feature in the firm’s new M saloon, due to go on sale later this year.
The engine helps the EX30d get from 0-62mph in 7.9sec and the FX30d covers the same distance in 8.3sec. In the EX30d, combined fuel economy is 33.6 mpg and CO2 emissions are rated at 224g/km.
Infiniti’s European vice-president Jim Wright said a diesel engine was a must if Infiniti was to establish itself in Europe.
“We were aware from the outset that for Infiniti to offer a complete range a powerful diesel engine was a must, especially in the European premium SUV market where diesel represents the bulk of sector sales,” he said.

Re: Infiniti EX30d - new details
I like the Infiniti and the diesel will open sales up but a CO2 rating of 224g/km will still be a limiting factor, particularly in theUK . Infiniti will be playing catch up for a while yet!
