BMW has revealed its new BMW M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition, which is limited to 100 units

BMW has revealed its new BMW M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition, a special edition model that is limited to just 100 examples in the UK.

The Frozen Silver Edition receives the same 4.0-litre V8 as the standard BMW M3, but adds BMW’s Competition Pack, which comprises of 10mm lowered suspension and a seven-speed M-DCT transmission; this lowers the car’s 0-62mph time from 4.8 to 4.6 seconds.

The Competition Pack also includes an extra setting on the electronically-controlled dampers (to firm the dampers up) when in Sport mode and a slightly altered stability control system.

The special edition M3 is finished in ‘Frozen Silver’ paint and comes fitted with contrasting matte black 19-inch light-weight Competition alloys. Dark chrome exhaust tailpipes, front grilles and side-vents are added to BMW’s Shadowline trim to complete the exclusive exterior package.

Interior features include carbonfibre touches to the dashboard, door inserts and centre console. The seats are two-tone black and grey leather. A '1 of 100' plaque also adorns each car.

The new M3's Alcantara steering wheel with M3 chequered flag inlay is the same as that found in the exclusive M3 GTS.

Prices of the BMW M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition start from £58,720, which represents a premium of £4000 over a standard M3 Coupe. It goes on sale at the beginning of June.

M3 Frozen Edition

I have say to after owning AM's, GTR Nissan, Porsche GTS and many others alike, the Frozen Silver Ltd Edition M3 is the best car I have ever owned - It may not be the fastest or the most expensive ive had but it ticks ALL the boxes for me - Amazing handling, gorgeous carbon fibre interior, plenty of power for the road, superb build quality (take note AM) and to top it all you wont see one the same too often! Love it!! Dave Fields

I like BMW's, i'm on my second in fact, but even i wouldn't stump up another £4K for a run out model,i'm no great driver,so the extra it brings i'd never access, the original M3 was the icon, everything after was in it's image, today's M3 is all electronic, nanny this nanny that, besides i don't like the color,no,seat of the pants,a basic,no frills, now that would be worth the extra £4K, yes, more for less, well, if Porsche can get away with it..........?

Next the M3 "Tropico" with jazzy seats and palm tree boot badge.

Speculators will ask a £10k premium "Coz it's limited edition in'it"
