Skoda Auto India has offered to replace stolen emblem badges from its cars free of charge after a recent spate of thefts.
Autocar India is reporting that prices for stolen Skoda badges range from between Rs600 (around £6.50) when adorned on a Fabia’s front-end and Rs1500 (approximately £16) when fitted to a Yeti’s rear.
Skoda’s dealership in Mumbai has reported that it expects the free badge replacement service will reduce the street value of the emblem and deter further thefts.

Didn't they sing 'no sleep 'til bangladesh'
And how does this affect us Brits?
It must be a "no news" week at Autocar with stories like this appearing. Or are you trying to encourage your readership to do the same thing here, to replicate the theft of VW badges that happened about 20 years ago?
Er, can't post a photo
Sorry, will try again later.
