The Aston Martin One-77 and the Ariel Atom V8 will be among supercars attempting to smash the hillclimb record at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. More than 20 of the world’s fastest and exotic cars will be part of the Autocar Supercar Paddock at the show.
Cars as varied as the single-seat BAC Mono and Vauxhall Maloo pick-up will compete to break the record for the 1.2-mile sprint. The record stands at 62.68sec, set by Nikki Faulkner in the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4 in 2010.
The Pageant of Power will also play host to a large selection of modern and classic supercars during the many parade laps throughout the weekend. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Aston Martin One-77 and Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale are among those scheduled to appear.
Other cars taking part in demonstration runs include a Ferrari Enzo, Ford GT, Jaguar XJ220 and McLaren F1.
Elsewhere, visitors can enjoy a James Bond display, including the Aston Martin Vanquish from Die Another Day, a celebration of 50 years of the Cobra and the appearance of aero-engined cars.

It looks like there are
It looks like there are plenty of cars on the list capable of beating a Gallardo's time this year, depending on tha talent of the driver and how seriously they take the run.

Yh, I cant imagine the Aston One-77 giving it too much, unless it wants to end up like the one in Dubai. For a company like Ariel, it would be a huge test of the car. It should, SHOULD, be easy for it though given the right driver to beat a Gallardo. The track looks very tight at parts though.
