Prices for the upgrades start from 1990 euro (£1600) and rise to 6990 euro (£5625)

Audi has introduced the ‘A1 amplified red’ and ‘A1 amplified white’ editions to its Audi A1 and A1 Sportback models. They are restricted to the German market only.

Based on Audi A1 ‘Ambition line’ models and available in three tiers - amplified, amplified plus and amplified advanced – cars are finished with the choice of either Misano Red pearl effect or Glacier White metallic paint.

Cars featuring the entry-level amplified spec get an S-line roof spoiler, 17-inch alloys, a transparent film on the car’s bonnet and sport seats with complimentary red or gray stitching inside.

An upgrade to amplified plus adds Audi’s aero competition kit as well as LED taillights and stainless steel covers for the car’s pedals. A gloss black diffuser insert that houses the car’s matte black exhaust tips is also included.

The final equipment level is limited to A1 models with over 121bhp. Included on the list are Silk Nappa leather S sports seats, 18-inch wheels, tinted windows, a large gloss black boot spoiler and xenon headlamps.

Prices for the upgrades start from 1990 euro (£1600) for amplified spec cars  and increase to 3990 euro (£3210) and 6990 euro (£5625) for amplified plus and amplified advanced respectively.

"Audi launches a special

"Audi launches a special edition trim line that isn't available in the UK, based on a trim line that isn't available in the UK either."

Are we getting every single press release for every country replroduced nowadays, or is this an attempt to just stir up more anti-Audi feeling that's already rife in the Autocar forums?
