Mike O'Driscoll to oversee both Williams' F1 operations and Williams Advanced Engineering

Former Jaguar chief Mike O’Driscoll has been appointed group CEO at Williams. The newly created role means both Williams F1 and Williams Advanced Engineering are organised under a single management structure.

His appointment is designed to “guide the long-term future of Williams”. He will lead the executive committee and will report to Frank Williams and the firm’s board.

O’Driscoll has served as non-executive director since 2011. He replaces Alex Burns with immediate effect.

Frank Williams said: "This new role strengthens the company and will help us achieve our goals both on the race track and in diversification”.
