The facelifted Ford Focus ST has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring.
Due on sale in 2015, the facelifted car is shown here in a relatively undisguised form - though camouflage can still be seen around the front and rear bumpers. The larger, lower front grille can still be seen, which draws inspiration from the design used on Aston Martin models.
Aside from the front and rear bumpers, there appears to be very few other cosmetic changes over the existing model. The standard facelifted Focus has also been spotted testing at the circuit.
Ford has not yet released information on engine specifications, but the facelifted Focus ST is expected to use the same 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine as the current model, developing around 250bhp. Prices are likely to start at around £23,000.
The car will rival other hot hatchbacks, including the Renault Mégane Renaultsport, BMW M135i and Volkswagen Scirocco R when it goes on sale.
Ford is also working on a new generation of Focus RS, with that model also slated for production in 2015. That model will use a new Ford-developed 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine tuned to around 330bhp.

Focus ST rivals?
Really? Yes to the Renaultsport Megane but how many Focus ST buyers also consider an M135i or Scirocco R? Not many, I'd wager. I'd have thought Golf GTI and Astra VXR would be more accurate. The Focus ST sits one rung below the hottest hot hatches in price and ability, surely? The M135i and Scirocco R are closer to Audi's S3 and AMG's A45 than the Ford..

Hopefully they can get the bumper moulding to fit against the bonnet leading edge this time. Every ST I see looks like its had a shoddy crash repair done.
How that got signed off is beyond me!
