All-wheel-drive Seat Leon variants will be coming to the UK.
The Spanish manufacturer has confirmed that it will offer all-wheel-drive variants of the Leon alongside its conventional front-wheel-drive offerings.
Seat has yet to announce official pricing for the model, but if the manufacturer follows the example set by others in the Volkswagen Group, a premium of around £1500 would be expected.
That means a 1.6-litre TDI version in SE trim, which normally costs £18,670 in front-wheel-drive specification, would likely cost around £20,170 in all-wheel-drive form as a result.
Seat has also confirmed that some Leon models will get the 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with the VW Group's Active Cylinder Technology (ACT).
This system cuts two of the four engine cylinders when not under heavy load in order to improve fuel economy, and is already used in the manufacturer's Seat Ibiza range.
