First teaser images and spy shots of Nissan's facelifted Juke reveal significant changes to the compact crossover's looks

A facelifted version of the Nissan Juke compact crossover will go on sale in June after a debut at the Geneva motor show this week.

Nissan has released a series of teaser images of the new Juke, which have revealed its redesigned head lights and tail lights.

A camouflaged test mule has been previously spotted in southern Spain last week, close to the first Formula 1 pre-season test in Jerez. It showed that the facelifted Juke would get significant changes to its front and rear bumpers.

While the revised Juke keeps its distinctive shape, it sports a smaller front grille with new wraparound headlight cluster designs and the familiar rounded lamps lower down.

Making good on Nissan's plan to include design elements from its Sport Sedan concept, the revised Juke has a more prominent V-shaped front grille design. A different lower air intake design can also be seen.

At the back, the facelifted Juke gets a more muscular rear bumper with new rear light cluster designs. While the side profile of the Juke appears unchanged, the camouflaged wing mirrors suggest they may now house integrated indicators.

The cabin of the Juke will be left untouched, but Nissan's Connect 2 infotainment system is likely to be offered as an option on higher-spec models.

The new Juke will also get the option of the new Qashqai's 1.2-litre DIG-T engine. The four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol unit produces 113bhp and 140lb ft of torque in the Qashqai, and will replace the current 1.6-litre naturally aspirated entry-level engine in the Juke.

A small price increase over current range prices is expected.
