Up to 3000 extra electric cars could be parked on London streets by 2016 as part of a new car-sharing scheme designed to rival the popular 'Boris bike'. The plan, unveiled by French billionaire Vincent Bollore, lets motorists rent electric cars for £10 per hour before leaving vehicles at a pre-selected drop-off point.
Ferrari has hinted that a spin-off car based on LaFerrari could be in development. Speaking at the Geneva motor show, company boss Luca di Montezemolo said: "Many customers were disappointed not to be able to own a LaFerrari, but we expect to have something special to offer them soon".
Cars in the UK are greener than they were last year. A new report by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders says that the average CO2 emissions of cars in the UK are down by 3.6 per cent on 2013, at 128.3g/km. EU countries have targets to acheive average emissions of 95g/km of CO2 by 2020.
Seat Leon owners can now order a new sports styling kit, which includes new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a rear boot spoiler, alloy wheels and twin sports exhausts. The new package is available on S, SE and FR variants of the Leon and Leon SC. Altogether, the kit costs £4998.
