French manufacturer reveals Urban Ride concept which features SUV-inspired styling and demonstrates C1 personalisation options

Citroën has shown off personalisation options available on its C1 city car with a new concept at the Paris motor show.

The C1 Urban Ride concept offers “go-anywhere looks” and comes with “SUV-inspired styling features to underline its character and strong nature.”

Citroën has raised the ground clearance of the standard C1 by 15mm to create the concept. It has also fitted new trim to the wheel arches and bumpers to give the model a more rugged look. New front fog lights have been added while car’s track has been widened by 10mm.

The Urban Ride concept was seen in both standard five-door and open-top Airscape versions at the Paris show.

In the coming days, Citroën will let show visitors vote on whether the model should make production.

I think this looks better

I think this looks better than the standard C1. However, Citroen should still ditch their dodgy attempt at black A-pillars, and the random line used for the two-tone paint doesn't work for me either. Cars like this and the Adam Rocks are really bringing the Rover Streetwise back into fashion again!

My vote would be yes!

I hope Citroen do put this into production. It looks great, the body mods really suiting this little car. Now if they would only offer an EGC box with a little more performace ......

I wonder how much extra they

I wonder how much extra they will charge for jacking a C1 up a little bit and covering it in cheap, tacky, plastic chintz?
