The final production version of the Infiniti Q30 hatchback has been revealed at the Frankfurt motor show and the company has also confirmed details about the British-built model’s engine and trim range.
The Q30 will come with three trim levels - SE, Sport and Premium - and a choice of five engines, both petrol and diesel.
The Premium model features several styling features over the SE, including LED front foglights, body-coloured and heated door mirrors and chrome-coloured exhausts. It comes with 18in alloy wheels. The Sport model, meanwhile, gets a bespoke front bumper and a gloss black front grille, along with body-coloured sills and dark chrome exhausts.
The Sport also rides on 19in alloy wheels and gets stiffer suspension that's 15mm lower than that of the rest of the range. The boot can hold 368 litres with the rear seats in place.
The engines include a 1.6-litre petrol with either 120bhp or 154bhp, a 107bhp 1.5-litre diesel and a 2.2-litre diesel with 168bhp. A 208bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol is also offered on the Sport and Premium versions. Infiniti has not yet revealed performance details of the five engines.
Different engines come with different sound systems to either dampen down engine noise - in the case of the diesels - or enhance it, in the case of the petrols.
There's a choice of two gearboxes - a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The Q30 will be built at the company’s plant in Sunderland, and more information on pricing and precise equipment levels is expected before the first deliveries start in January 2016.
