Nissan has revealed a new concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show. Dubbed the Teatro for Dayz, it is said to provide unparalleled levels of connectivity.
The concept's exterior design is similar to that used on the Cube hatchback, and is designed to resemble the minimalist appearance of modern technology - with the concept also sporting Nissan’s familiar ‘V motion’ grille at the front.
Inside, the car's dashboard, seats, door trim and instrument panel can be configured to display photos and moving images. Nissan calls the car's cabin a 'future canvas' - with the design doing away with any traditional buttons. Instead, commands for most infotainment functions are carried out through voice commands and gesture controls.
Nissan says that depending on how the concept is being used, the information it displays can change. When driving, the digital instrument panel shows navigation data, but when parked that information disappears - to be replaced by custom artwork and pictures.
No details of the drivetrain have been released, but Nissan says the Teatro for Dayz could also be seen as an "indication of what people will expect of EVs in the future".
