Land Rover has updated its Range Rover Evoque range with a special edition model and new technology.
The car maker’s best-seller gets a wider palette of exterior body colours, bringing the total number up to 18, and has retained its £30,600 starting price.
Sales of the 2017 model year Evoque commence in the summer, with first deliveries expected in September. We run through the refreshed model's details below.
Ember Edition
Slotting into the upper realms of the Evoque line-up is the new Ember Edition, which is based on the HSE Dynamic but gains unique exterior and interior finishes, as well as more standard kit for the added premium of £3800.
Most noticeable is the Ember Edition’s Firenze Red roof and Santorini Black paint job, which is matched by satin black 20in alloy wheels, black exhaust surrounds, a black grille and darkened lights; these features are normally included in Land Rover’s optional Black Pack.
The theme continues inside, where there are black leather seats and gloss black trim, contrasted by red stitching and red carpets.
The Ember Special Edition comes exclusively with Land Rover's 177bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre diesel engine and a nine-speed automatic gearbox, which offers 55mpg combined and emits 134g/km of CO2.
The Ember Edition will go on sale this summer for just three months, priced from £47,200.
New technology
Range Rover Evoque SE Tech models gain 12-way powered seats and automatic high beam assist as standard, with prices starting at £33,000, £400 more than the outgoing model.
HSE Dynamic and above trim levels get a host of new InControl infotainment technology, which is claimed to have faster responses and smartphone-like behaviour.
