Pagani Pagani Huayra owners are being offered a new hardcore pack, called Pacchetto Tempesta, which will cost an additional €160,000 (£126,000) plus local taxes, just shy of the asking price for a new Honda NSX. With VAT, the pack is likely to cost UK customers more than £150,000.
Revealed at the Geneva motor show earlier this year alongside the limited-run Huayra BC, the pack will bring the car’s price up to well above £800,000.
Existing Huayra owners can retrofit their Huayra with the pack, which adds aerodynamic upgrades, including a large front splitter and rear diffuser, as well as tweaks to the car’s undertray. A set of exclusive wheels are also included.
The Huayra’s 6.0-litre, twin-turbo V12 made for Pagani by AMG remains unchanged, so its output of 730bhp and 738lb ft of torque stay the same.
Pagani hasn’t revealed if the car’s 3.2sec 0-62mph sprint or 230mph top speed are changed, although reports suggest that some components, including a revised suspension set-up and titanium exhaust system, save weight over the standard Huayra.
The aerodynamic additions suggest that the pack hones the Huayra for track use, although details remain sparse. It’s not yet known how many packs will be offered, or if they will be made subject to demand.
A similar carbonfibre aero pack was recently revealed for the Lamborghini Lamborghini Huracán, although the Lamborghini kit costs £20,000 compared with the Pagani's £150k-plus price tag.
