The new Peugeot 3008 GT has been launched to sit atop the new 3008 crossover range, which goes on sale from this November.
Under the bonnet of the GT is Peugeot’s 2.0-litre Blue HDi diesel engine coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox. With a peak output of 178bhp, it’s 30bhp more powerful than the previous most potent version of the upcoming 3008. Performance figures for this new GT are yet to be revealed, but a 0-62mph of around 8sec seems likely.
The 3008 GT comes with Peugeot’s new i-Cockpit as standard. It features a 12.3in configurable instrument panel similar to Audi’s Virtual Cockpit. Also forming part of the infotainment system is 3D satellite navigation with three years worth of free live traffic updates, courtesy of TomTom. The GT will be equipped with a host of safety features as standard including Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assistance and Smartbeam assist.
A GT Line trim level will also be on offer on the standard 3008 - this will have more engines in its range, allowing you to obtain the extra kit and visual niceties of the GT derivative. Visual additions to the 3008 GT Line include 19in two-tone diamond cut alloys, extended wheel arches, a panoramic sunroof GT and a massaging driver's seat.
