The Renault Captur has been updated for 2016, gaining an additional powertrain and a new range-topping model.
The 2016-model-year Capturs in Dyanmique or Nav spec are now available with Renault’s turbocharged 1.2-litre TCe petrol engine in manual guise. The new powertrain has 118bhp, a claimed 51.4mpg and outputs 125g/km of CO2.
Pricing for Capturs with this powertrain start at £16,575.
Previously the 1.2 TCe engine was only available with the dual-clutch EDC automatic gearbox; prices for that model now start at £18,075.
Elsewhere in the 2016 Captur range, Dynamique Nav and Dynamique S Nav models can now be ordered with Flame Red metallic paint and a contrasting Diamond black roof for £595. Additionally, a matching red interior colour pack can be added for £100.
The new Captur range is available in four trim levels, with a choice of two diesel and petrol engines. Prices start at £14,575 and climb to £19,175 for a new range-topping model, called the Iconic Nav Special Edition (pictured).
The extra model comes exclusively in Arctic White pearlescent paint with a Diamond Black roof and door mirror covers, and gets 17in wheels and painted lower front and rear bumpers.
