Lister CEO Lawrence Whittaker has listed his 2012 Bentley Mulsanne on eBay with no reserve, meaning that the starting bid is just 99p.
Today’s Mulsanne costs from £229,360, but at the time of writing the auction had reached slightly more than 10% of this, at £23,556. New bids are rolling in periodically, so this figure will soon change.

The advert claims that the car has been “incredibly well cared for”, to the point where it has never been driven in the rain. The car currently bears the L15TER personalised reg plate, but Whittaker says this is not included in the sale.
Whittaker’s car was first registered in April 2012, and since then, the advert claims, has been “fastidiously maintained, regardless of cost”.
Other used Bentley Mulsanne examples on the market carry price tags of between £99,000 and £110,000, with similar mileages to the 26,000 registered on the clock of Whittaker’s car.

Cambridge-based sports car manufacturer Lister recently announced it would build and sell ten examples of the ‘Knobbly’ Lister Jaguar, which cost £1 million apiece. First deliveries are expected in the autumn of next year. The buyer of Whittaker’s Mulsanne, however, will have to pick the car up themself.
