British performance car brand will be able to create completely individual models for customers

Aston Martin will launch a new service for its customisation arm called Q Commission at the Geneva motor show alongside an expanded range of options.

The British brand will offer customers the chance to spec a car from scratch, working closely with its Q division to create complexly unique models.

Q by Aston Martin can develop an existing model into a bespoke version or even create a completely unique car from scratch. The process can begin at a customer's local dealership, the company’s Gaydon headquarters or Aston Martin’s Mayfair brand centre.

General manager of the Q department Matthew Bennett: said “It's a commissioning process. The customer is working much more closely with us here at Gaydon. The only limit is your imagination – every new commission starts with a blank sheet of paper.”

Aston design boss Marek Reichman said Q Commission is "fulfilling a creative need," and that "we're experts providing a consultation, like a Savile Row tailor or a yacht builder”.

Previous examples of bespoke Aston Martin models include the CC-100 Speedster Concept of 2013 and Vantage GT12 Roadster from last year.

Alongside its new Q service, Aston Martin will also display a bespoke DB11 to illustrate its range of customisation options (pictured). The brand will also show its new Vanquish S model to the public for the first time.

I liked the look of this...

...until I saw the game showesque Q logo plonked everywhere. Still, subtlety doesn't seem to exist at these price points.
