As ever, this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed features an astonishing array of grand prix machinery, from the sport’s earliest days right through to the ultra-sophisticated modern machine.

The Festival is a great place to experience F1 cars, as well: the public can get a lot closer to the machinery than they’d ever hope to do at a grand prix.
