Currently reading: How Autocar personalised a fantasy Range Rover SV Coupé

With such a vast range of options, buyers can create completely unique two-door Range Rovers

Unsurprisingly, given the high price of the SV CoupeÃ, 80% of customers so far have chosen to personalise their car with a near-endless options list.

New Range Rover SV Coupé revealed with £240k price tag

To date, customers – of whom there are more than 150 – have added between £30k and £100k worth of extras on top of the £240,000 starting price. That makes the most expensive one yet an eye-raising £340,000. Or you could spend even more, as one customer already has, and order two SV CoupeÃs.

The most expensive option is a new paint colour, liquescence, at £30,000.

JLR SVO boss: Range Rover SV Coupé can take on Bentayga

Customer clinics have already been held in London and Paris – where we saw the car – and will continue in key markets, including the Middle East, Russia and the US.

Working with local retailers, Land Rover has been picky with its invitations. “They’ve been selected because we think they’re going to be a hard prospect,” said Special Vehicle Operations MD John Edwards.

Opinion: Why the Range Rover SV Coupé can justify its stratospheric price

Once buyers have committed to an SV Coupeà at these clinics, they will be invited to a luxurious pod to personalise their car.

We experienced it at the customer clinic in Paris but there is a permanent base with a customisation suite at SVO HQ just outside Coventry.

The centre has been open for two years and 200 bespoke products have been created as a result. Bespoke by SVO’s Chris Castle said an average customer takes two to three hours to pick options.

“There are 100 paint colours but really the sky’s the limit,” said Castle. “We can match to anything.” There are also 14 colours of leather trim.

So what did we go for on our fantasy SV CoupeÃ? The new duo-tone paint, in which the flanks of the car are a different colour from the rest of the body. We chose Constellation Blue as the main paint colour, with a bespoke teal paint as the flank colour. We picked navy leather for the rear seats to complement the exterior and cream for the front seats. We also went for the new Nautica veneer.

We avoided what many people have gone for: family crests or initials in the head rests. There’s also the chance to engrave select pieces of metal in the car, such as the top of the dashboard and inner door handles.

Anything from a full paisley pattern to a horse’s head have previously been specified.

How much did our SV Coupeà cost? Around £275,000.

Saw an IPace on the A5 just north of Cannock this morning. In white it looked stunning.

Can you option that grille

Can you option that grille finish on an I Pace please? I know the I Pace front grille is really just a blanking plate with an air inlet at the top but it’s the weakest design detail on the entire car.
