Bowler has shown its next model in a preview shot ahead of a reveal in the coming weeks. The new model, the name of which hasn’t yet been given, is based on the Land Rover Defender.
The new model will be a road car, as opposed to the off-road and race-focused models on which Bowler has previously focused.
It is powered by a V8 engine, as revealed by a preview clip of the car’s engine. Based on Bowler’s previous efforts, a high power output, possibly usurping Land Rover’s 399bhp Defender V8, is expected.
The car, as with other Bowlers, uses the brand’s modular Cross Sector Platform, which can be adapted for applications in different body styles, including a 6x6 layout. It’s not known yet if the new car has four or six wheels. Either way, it will almost certainly be all-wheel drive.
Bowler describes its product line-up as consisting of “precision-engineered, hand-built and highly capable vehicles”, with outstanding performance, strength and style. The same ethos will be applied to the upcoming model.
