The second-generation Range Rover Evoque has been revealed and despite looking similar to the outgoing model, there's plenty that's new, including the platform, interior and mild-hybrid powertrain set-up.

With an interior inspired by the more expensive Land Rover Velar, and all but the entry-level model getting 4x4 drivetrains and the off-road settings seen in the full-size Land Rover Discovery, there's a lot to take in.

Join Rachel Burgess for a guide around the highlights of the Evoque ahead of it going on sale early next year.

As if the Mk1 wasn't tedious enough...

Yes, it's another version of car for aspiring estate agents and private school mums everywhere. They'll sell by the bucketload, not because it's a decent offroader but because it has a badge which has a long held and misplaced snob value to it.

I literally couldn't even form the idea of handing over real money for one of these. Not doubt Range Rover's profits will be as wide as the varying panel gaps... :P
