McLaren has unveiled a special one-off version of its 720S Spider by MSO at the Geneva motor show. The car features a unique colour scheme to highlight its aerodynamics and showcase the capability of its customisation division.
Developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the bespoke version of the recently launched 710bhp open-top supercar is painted in a blend of three metallic paints, which are designed to emphasise the aerodynamics of the Super Series model.
The firm says the tri-tone finish, which it calls Coriolis, is an advancement of a technology first shown on the 720S Velocity by MSO at Geneva in 2017. McLaren says the paint scheme took 260 hours to finish.
The special 720S Spider also sports a number of other custom features, including the use of carbonfibre for the tonneau cover, diffuser and B-pillars, as well as a sports exhaust and electrochromatic glass on the retractable hard-top.
The interior is finished in Alcantara and leather and features MSO bespoke colours and trim, along with a number of carbonfibre components.
The mechanical elements of the one-off 720S are unchanged from the standard car's, with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 568lb ft and enables a 0-62mph time of 2.9sec. The machine has a top speed of 202mph with the roof down.

So it’s a special really.....
Plenty there prepared to pay extra for a fancy paint job and a few bit of inexpensive Carbon fibre, how many mugs are there out there?

I'd be one Peter, despite what you say.
You have to admit it looks pretty incredible.

Mug here. I'd have that in a nanosecond. It's freaking porn.
Fades have been making a comeback in the custom / hot rod scene. Great to see an OEM give it a shot IMO.

Should have gone to specsavers!
That is one seriously good looking motor, current Ferrari's are all looking a bit bog-eyed to me, Lambos are all straight lines and weird angles in a nod the Countach as well as being way too fat.
Mclaren are punching well above their wright and succeeding, long may it continue!
