The all-new Cayenne Coupé is Porsche's attempt to add an extra dollop of style and driver appeal to its luxury SUV. Whether a curved roofline is enough to justify the coupé name is up for debate, but there's no question the more design-conscious Cayenne is every bit as rapid as the standard car.
In Turbo guise, its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine produces 542bhp and 568lb ft - good for a claimed 0-62mph time of 3.9sec and a 178mph top speed.
The thing is, it's less practical than the car on which it's based, and more expensive to boot. Is it worth the extra cash? Autocar's James Disdale has been finding out.

But so is a toadfish. A toadfish also has more credibility than either of them.

I suppose you consider that describing this car as ‘a modern, 21st century GT’ is a profound observation, but it really didn’t need to be said twice.
This car is grotesque and the review doesn’t even really talk about the compromises to the interior package, which is the only real point of difference with the standard Cayenne.
