MG owners will reveal Roewe concept car at Shangahi motor show this month

Chinese state-owned SAIC Motors has announced it will unveil a concept car at this month's Shanghai motor show.

The company, which bought the rights to the Rover 25 and 75 models in late 2004, has released a teaser sketch of the car, which will be called the Roewe N1 Concept.

Roewe's portfolio currently consists of the Rover 75 based 750 and the 550 compact saloon, which was designed and engineered in Britain and is a successor to the Rover 45.

SAIC also owns Nanjing Automotive, the Chinese company that bought the MG name. It has been rumoured that the company could use the MG name to market its products in Europe.
