The new Cadillac SRX points the way to Vauxhall’s next Frontera, due in as little as three years’ time. The SRX goes on sale this month in the USA as a 260bhp V6 or 320bhp V8, but the seven-seat SUV is also rumoured to provide the basis for a Volvo XC90-rivalling Vauxhall off-roader.
Bespoke Vauxhall-penned styling would replace the wedgy Caddy look and the European versions are sure to utilise the next generation diesel and four cylinder petrol engines.
