Audi will sell its TT RS in the US by the third quarter of next year.
The decision comes after a Facebook petition gathered more than 11,500 signatures in just one month, including many likely buyers.

Audi was considering introducing the model to American markets and established the online ‘Bring it to the US’ petition to gauge consumer interest.
Johan de Nysschen, president of Audi of America, said that the interest in the model across the country became “abundantly clear” as a result.
The US pricing and available options have not yet been established, but it will have the same 2.5-litre TFSI engine, which produces 355bhp and 332lb ft of torque.
It will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive, which will allow it to achieve a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds.
Only the coupé version will be made available.
