Special edition model celebrates 20 years of the iconic roadster

Mazda is commemorating 20 years of the MX-5 with a special anniversary edition.

The Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition will be revealed at the Geneva motor show next month and will only be available in Europe. Production will be limited to just 2000 units and each example will be individually numbered on the stainless steel scuff plate.

The model is based on the 1.8-litre SE model and is available in either True Red, Crystal White Pearl or Aurora Blue.

Features unique to the model include new 17-inch alloys and 20th Anniversary badging. Chrome has been used on the front grille, door handles and headlight surrounds. Changes under the skin include the addition of a front suspension bracing bar.

is it just around my area or other places too but i have noticed that this new mx-5 does not sell very well! i think the mx-5 bubble has burst! nice car all the same just not for me

Unless i'm mistaken the MX-5 was launched in 1989, making it 21 this year. Unless the car is a female in which case it'd want to be younger than it is.......
