Geneva launch for Spanish firm's R8-based Suiza

Spanish firm Hispano has shown off this reskinned Audi R8 V10 at the Geneva motor show.

The Hispano Suiza uses the R8 V10’s 5.2-litre engine, but it has been tuned to produce 592bhp. The firm has also added a 149bhp electric motor, to give the Suiza a combined power output of 741bhp.

Hispano claims the Suiza can also run on electric power alone over small distances.

Its 0-60mph time is claimed to be just 3.4sec and it can reach a top speed of more than 200mph.

This has got to be one of the most stunning and innovative cars of the year!

What a great idea to take an existing car with proven engineering, make it even more powerful and give it a futuristic body style.

It looks stunning and I can only urge people to try and see it "in the flesh" as the photographs do not do it justice ! Well done Hispano Suiza and I want one !

Answer me this? Marmite original or vegemite substitute?

Another attempt at reviving a famous name that probably won't get beyond the concept stage.
