The Lexus RX 350 F Sport has made its North American debut at the New York motor show today. The hybrid version sold in European markets isnât available to American buyers.
The all-wheel drive F Sport has an eight-speed automatic transmission, sports suspension, bespoke sport front bumper and mesh grille and 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels in a Dark Graphite finish.
Powered by a 3.5-litre V6, the RX 350 develops 270bhp at 6200rpm. An active all-wheel drive system sends 100 per cent of torque to the front wheels, but can shift 50 per cent rearwards when slip is detected. Lexus predict a combined fuel consumption figure of 22.8mpg.
The F Sport suspension setup provides firmer shocks and springs. A lateral performance damper system is said to minimise NVH. Lexusâ Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management technology is fitted as standard. It governs the ABS, brake assist and stability and traction control systems.

Re: New York show: Lexus RX 350 F Sport
I'm sorry, an manufacturer's quoted (ie never acheiveable in the real world) combined fuel consumption of 22.8mpg!
Completely unacceptable, particularly when married to the monstrously ugly looks of this thing, even if they have polished it up a bit...
Re: New York show: Lexus RX 350 F Sport
Seems a bit bizarre when most of the taxis in New York are all hybrids now..
